NAPIM Member Resources
The National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers (NAPIM) publishes an annual State of the Industry reports which provides current information on the state of the printing ink manufacturing industry. NAPIM tracks, on a monthly basis, imports and exports of all types of printing inks. NAPIM also tracks market conditions for various substrates and raw materials used in the printing ink industry
Technical & Sustainability
The National Printing Ink Research Institute (NPIRI - the research arm of NAPIM) supports printing ink technical development through its annual Technical Conference and Printing Ink Summer Course. NPIRI also supports the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) through participation on its inks and vehicles committees. NPIRI also supports the printing ink BioRenewable Content program.
Printing inks, like all chemical compounds, must be properly managed to ensure protection of human health, property, and the environment. The storage, usage, and disposal of many of the chemical compounds used in printing inks are regulated through federal and state agencies as well as local authorities.
